About the Brown Sugar Saver: Soak your ceramic Brown Sugar Saver in water for 15 minutes, pat dry, and tuck it in the brown sugar. When kept in a sealed container, this will keep brown sugar soft for up to 3 months. When sugar begins to harden, re-soak, pat dry, and use again. Approx 2.3  in diameter and .4  thick Use after soaking to soften and maintain moisture in brown sugar, granulated sugar, sugar in the raw, turbinado sugar, and sugar substitutes, baked goods, cakes, cookies, marshmallows, even dried fruit. Or, use it dry without soaking to absorb moisture and keep spices, salt, crackers, pretzels and chips dry and crispy. If you already have rock hard brown sugar, just follow the same instructions above wait overnight and then re-hydrate as the rock hard brown sugar will have absorbed most if not all of the moisture.
