Modgy Cotton Tea Towel-Louis C Tiffany Lilies
100% Cotton Machine Washable Kitchen Towel
In 1893, Louis C. Tiffany created a chapel for the World's Columbian Exposition, to promote his newly founded firm, Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company; it won many design awards.
Subsequently, it was moved to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York. After suffering water damage, Tiffany had the chapel reinstalled at his home. Following his death in 1933, portions were sold. In 1957, a fire damaged what remained. Jeannette McKean, of the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum, ultimately purchased the chapel remains and began its restoration. After 100 years, it was reopened to the public in 1999, and its timeless beauty can be enjoyed again.
